Description
People need the right mix of skills to succeed in technology-rich work environments. While skills are acquired in multiple ways and at different stages of life and work, primary to tertiary education are essential to providing people with the skills that form the foundation for their working life. This indicator measures new tertiary graduates in science, technology, engineering (including ICT fields), and mathematics (STEM) as a share of all new graduates. It reflects a country’s human capital in some of the key fields of study that are needed to thrive in the digital age.
