Share of VC-funded start-ups in digital-related activities with female founders

Start-ups play an important role in driving digital innovation, pushing out the frontier of what is possible and driving job creation, productivity and sustainable growth. Innovation outcomes benefit from diversity through the inclusion of a variety of perspectives. This indicator measures the share of venture capital (VC) funded start-ups with at least one female founder. VC investment is a key source of funding for new, innovative businesses.
