Fixed broadband – provided over DSL, cable, fibre, satellite, terrestrial fixed wireless or other fixed-wired technologies – is a key infrastructure that enables connectivity. This indicator measures the uptake of fixed broadband technology by the population, expressed as the number of subscriptions per 100 inhabitants to services with an advertised download speed of 256 Kbps or greater.
