To boost productivity, it is essential to promote the adoption, diffusion and effective use of advanced digital tools, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This indicator measures e-commerce sales by small firms (10 to 49 employees) as a share of all businesses with 10 employees or more. An e-commerce sale reflects the sale of goods or services conducted over computer networks by methods specifically designed for the purpose of receiving or placing orders.
