Description

The potential of digital technologies and data depends on their effective use. This indicator reflects the prevalence of online purchases by Internet users as a share of all Internet users. Online purchases are a relatively sophisticated Internet activity, although their level may also reflect the maturity of a country’s e-banking and e-payment systems, as well as cultural habits and preferences related to privacy, security and consumer protection for online transactions.
