Description
Digital technologies are an important part of the transition towards net-zero emissions by the middle of the century, but digital-intensive sectors also emit air pollution that counterbalances the positive effects. This indicator measures air pollution emitted by sector per USD of value added generated (see notes). It provides one indication of the environmental impacts of goods and services produced by sectors that are characterised by high and medium-high digital intensity relative to those characterised by low and medium-low digital intensity.
