Social media provides new ways to build and sustain relationships. However, excessive social media use can be harmful. This indicator measures the share of students who are problematic social media users. It provides an indication of the share of social media users facing difficulties in everyday functioning, such as neglecting activities regularly because of social media use or failing to control their time on social media.
